Calm, evidence-led health support for Busy Women under sustained pressure

Catherine Howell

Lawyer • Health Coach • Writer

I work with Busy Women who are capable, conscientious and functioning well on the surface, but who can feel the cumulative cost of sustained pressure on their bodies over time.

I know this world from the inside. I trained and qualified as a solicitor, and early in my career, I experienced burnout. I stepped away, focused on healing and over time returned to law with a very different relationship to work, health and capacity. Today, I practise law alongside health coaching. Not because I “pushed through” but because I learned how to work with my body rather than against it.

That lived experience shapes everything I do.

Over the past few years, I’ve supported Busy Women navigating stress-driven eating patterns, disrupted menstrual cycles, low energy, poor recovery and the feeling of being constantly “on”. Often these are not dramatic health crises, just early signals that the system is under strain.
A significant motivation behind my work is long-term women’s health and fertility. Many of the women I support want demanding, meaningful careers and the option of motherhood in the future. I believe those two goals don’t have to be in conflict. But they do require a more thoughtful, preventative approach to health.

My work isn’t about fixing, optimising or striving for perfection. It’s about understanding what your body is responding to, reducing unnecessary pressure and building steadier foundations that support both your work and your long-term wellbeing.

If you’re looking for calm, structured support from someone who understands professional pressure (and who won’t judge or rush you) you’re in the right place.

When things feel off, but you can’t quite name why

If you’re functioning well but feel increasingly tired, wired or out of sync with your body, this short quiz offers a structured way to check in.

It was designed for women working in law, where sustained cognitive load, responsibility and long hours place particular strain on the nervous system, energy, eating patterns and hormonal health. If you work in a similarly demanding role, you may still find it relevant.

At the end, you’ll receive a personalised reflection that helps you understand what your body may be responding to, why that makes sense and what often supports women at this stage.

How I work

I work in a way that will feel familiar if you’re used to structured, professional reasoning. Particularly in high-responsibility roles.

Much like a legal or analytical process, we:

  • Take time to understand the full context of your life and pressures

  • Identify patterns and signals in your health

  • Apply the right framework to understand what’s really going on

  • Agree clear, proportionate next steps

This isn’t about quick fixes or rigid rules.
It’s about understanding your system properly and supporting it in a way that’s sustainable alongside a demanding career.

What this means in practice

You don’t need more discipline.
You don’t need to try harder.

You need:

  • The right interpretation of what’s happening

  • The right framework

  • And next steps that respect your nervous system, biology and capacity

That’s what this work provides.
